Standard First Aid, CPR and AED - Blended Training Program

This WSIB accredited Standard First Aid, CPR and AED Blended Program teaches how to respond to medical emergencies and render life saving care until professional help arrives.  This course includes HCP CPR (C) , so no need to take both.  The course is has two main objectives steps to follow:
  

Step 1: Begin your journey towards certification by completing the online portion of the First Aid program. To ensure your readiness for the practical session, Step 1 must be completed within 60 days of attending the practical session.

Once you register, you will receive a unique Username and Password granting you access to our comprehensive First Aid Online Learning course. This is self-paced, and the total time required to complete this step is approximately 6-8 hours. Successfully completing this course, including achieving a minimum passing grade of 80%, will equip you with the necessary knowledge for the upcoming practical segment.

Step 2: Take the next step by scheduling and attending the practical session within 60 days of completing the online component. This hands-on session takes approximately 6-8 hours to complete and will provide valuable practical experience and reinforce the concepts learned online.

Upon successful completion of both the online and practical components of our accredited Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED Program, participants will be issued a wallet certificate onsite by the instructor, affirming their certification. This certificate serves as a tangible recognition of your achievement and expertise in First Aid.

The cost of the program (including the practical classroom session) is:

This program is approved and recognized by Ontario WSIB Regulation 1101 requirements as an approved trainer in Ontario.

HCP CPR and AED - Blended Training Program

This BLS/HCP CPR and AED Blended Program teaches how to manage cardiovascular emergencies in a basic life support environment.  NOTE: The Standard First Aid, CPR and AED program includes BLS/HCP CPR (C) if you need both your first aid and CPR.  If you only need your CPR - enrol in this program. This program is designed for Health Care Providers and has two main objectives steps to follow:
  
Step 1: Successfully complete the online compulsory modules at your own pace. This will grant you an "interim certificate".  This certificate is valid for 60 days.  You must schedule a practical session within 60 days to maintain your interim certification. (you will be able to register after completing step 1) 

Step 2: Attend a classroom practical session within 60 days of completing Step 1.  Upon successfully completing the practical components of the BLS/HCP CPR and AED program, the instructor will issue you a valid wallet certificate on-site, affirming your certification. 


The cost of the program (including the classroom practical session) is:

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Registration Page

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Certification Program

An Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) may be a member of any of the three emergency services.  Paramedic, Fire or Police - or may be a specially trained private citizen or public employee.  Around the world, the field of emergency medical services (EMS) changes constantly. 

This medically directed, online blended program is in partnership with Loyalist College and is designed specifically for Canadian EMR's and will help the EMR student learn and adapt to the contemporary practice of out of hospital care.. 

Our Emergency Medical Responder program meets the Paramedic Association of Canada's National Occupational Competency Profile.  Upon completion of the program you will be granted certification in Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) under Premergency Inc.  In order to obtain EMR certification, you must complete the prerequisite of Standard First Aid, HCP/CPR and AED certification.  This can be obtained by Loyalist College First Aid program  (listed above) or any other accredited agencies listed here. 

There are two main competencies and a prerequisite to earn your EMR Certification:

Prerequisite: The EMR program offered in partnership with Premergency is only available to students that are currently enrolled in the Loyalist College Preservice Firefighter program.

1) Successfully complete the 9 Modules (made up of 36 interactive learning activities) which will prepare you for the skills session(s).

2) Obtain a 75% passing grade in the program to be certified as an EMR.
