Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
Certification Training ProgramsAn Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) is a trained individual who is typically the first to arrive at the scene of an emergency medical situation. They are trained to provide immediate care to patients until more advanced medical personnel, such as paramedics arrive.
Initial Certification Details:
Step 1: Begin your journey towards
certification by completing the online portion of the First Aid program.
To ensure your readiness for the practical session, Step 1 must be
completed within 60 days of attending the practical session.
Once you register, you will receive a unique Username and Password granting you access to our comprehensive First Aid Online Learning course. This is self-paced, and the total time required to complete this step is approximately 6-8 hours. Successfully completing this course, including achieving a minimum passing grade of 80%, will equip you with the necessary knowledge for the upcoming practical segment.
Step 2: Take the next step by scheduling and attending the practical session within 60 days of completing the online component. This hands-on session takes approximately 6-8 hours to complete and will provide valuable practical experience and reinforce the concepts learned online.
Upon successful completion of both the online and practical components of our accredited Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED Program, participants will be issued a wallet certificate onsite by the instructor, affirming their certification. This certificate serves as a tangible recognition of your achievement and expertise in First Aid.
The cost of the program (including the practical classroom session) is:
$145.00 plus HST payable online once you register.
This program is approved and recognized by Ontario WSIB Regulation 1101 requirements as an approved trainer in Ontario.
